About the gallery
My goal is to sell my originals and also give everyone the opportunity to enjoy a piece of my art if they would like. I will do this by making high quality giclee prints on canvas which will be available for purchase through the site. During the checkout process you can choose the size you would like. You can have them printed on a flat canvas with no border to easily insert into a frame of your choosing. Or I can get the print wrapped for you and ship it to you that way. There is a “how to frame my print” link that I have created with examples to make it easy on you!
Not all paintings have to have a meaning, but sometimes they do
Sometimes in my paintings I will add elements that are relevant to me. In my piece “By the palm of the crescent moon”, I used the crescent moon because it symbolizes the changing of seasons in ones life and fertility. Art has always been a form of therapy for me.
There are a lot of times that I just paint something because I love it or I think its beautiful, then I look for meaning afterwards because it’s silly or fun. Like my “Japanese magnolia”, its my favorite flower and it symbolizes joy, youth, and innocence.
There are sometimes were I will paint with a certain person in mind or use a memory to help me determine what exactly I am trying to capture. When I painted “Peach branch” I was thinking about one of the last memories with my grandfather.
